David Foster Wallace is a genius. Just wanted to get that out there even though it has nothing to do with Physics!
Most elementary Physics teaching is wrong and if you progress to undergraduate and then graduate level you will find yourself re-learning stuff from elementary levels again in a more generic and fundamental form. One small example is the simplification of systems to allow them to be solved using elementary methods, see link below. Conceptually, the Lagrangian/Hamiltonian formulation of mechanics is easier to understand than the Newtonian and can be related to Noether's theorem and the whole symmetry/conservation law isomorphism which is at the heart of physics.

Why is Physics so Difficult?

For some reason today seems like a good time to start a blog.

Question. Why is Physics so hard?
Answer. It is hard but the way it is taught does not help!
